What we do

Church House and area office staff support the parishes in the Diocese of Oxford in a number of ways.

This includes providing financial, legal and administrative services, and advising on important areas such as working with children and young people, social justice initiatives, safeguarding, communications, and supporting the 284 church schools in our diocese attended by more than 58,000 children and young people. On the Money, updated in June each year, sets out in detail our structure and finances.

As a diocese, we have a common vision to become a more Christ-like Church - more contemplative, compassionate and courageous for the sake of God’s world. As well as supporting parishes and schools to be the best that they can be, our Church House teams provide a huge range of materials and support to help people live out their everyday faith. For example:

  • Pathways magazine is available free of charge. Pick up your copy in church.
  • Come and See is our annual invitation to explore the Christian faith afresh.
  • Space Makers helps children to navigate the world around them.
