Keeping Easter flowers green
Inspired by the work of Shane Connolly and #SustainableChurchFlowers, and encouraged by their assistant curate, Revd Benji Tyler, the Wantage Parish filled their church with Easter glory in a mindful way this year. Using only locally grown flowers and greenery in place of imported flowers, the church was able to massively reduce the carbon footprint of the display.
They also created all the arrangements without using any oasis floral foam. The displays looked fabulous over Easter, and the team had a lot of fun in the process.
Are you trying new ways to lower the carbon footprint of your church? We'd love to hear them.
