Nineteen deacons were ordained priests at four services across the diocese this weekend. Services were held at Dorchester Abbey, St Mary’s Amersham, St Giles Church Oxford and Reading Minster.
Bishop Gavin, who led the services at Dorchester and Amersham, said: “It is always a privilege to be a part of the priesting service, watching those who have been called to serve God in this way as they take the next step in their ministry. It was a joy to see our new priests supported by so many of their family and friends and to see the Holy Spirit at work in their lives as they continue in their curacies.”
Those ordained will continue their curacies around the diocese.
