For more than two years twelve churches in Reading have been working together on the Torch project.
The Oxford Academy serves the deprived communities of Littlemore, Rose Hill and Blackbird Leys.
At St George’s Church, Little Chalfont, a new congregation for non-church-going families welcomes 30-50 people each month.
13 parishes, across the Thames Valley, have been awarded grants to support a range of local church and community projects.
In South Oxfordshire, six local churches have formed an ecumenical partnership to develop work with, and among, the young people in Didcot, Harwell, Chilton, and the surrounding areas.
St Matthew’s Church, Oxford, share their experience of producing a community passion play to help and encourage other churches and communities.
St Andrew’s new Church building uses renewable energy to power, heat and light the space and is a valuable centre for the whole community to use and enjoy.
The Development Fund has awarded grants to nine churches to support a range of local church and community projects including a live nativity procession, Parish Nurse, and toddler group for adoptive and foster families.
The Chaplaincy programme at the Marlborough Church of England School serves young people in Woodstock and the surrounding villages.
